Welcome classes of  2025 & 2026!

The past few years you have likely faced numerous challenges and obstacles. This year, however will be drastically different in many ways. COVID has changed everything we have ever known about educating young people in high school setting. The good news is that you are on the best campus in all of Caddo Parish (and beyond) to handle the many changes we will face. Every staff member is committed to help you make this difficult transition as smooth as possible. Moreover, you will be faced with challenging courses, important standardized tests, completing a professional resume, and you will make decisions which will impact the rest of your life. You will inevitably experience a roller coaster of emotions: fear, joy, frustration, surprise, confusion, anticipation, and excitement to name a few. Through the ups and downs, be persistent and focus on the future.

Throughout the year, be diligent in working towards your future goals. You will want to:

1. Focus on your grades. Studies show that your high school GPA is one of the biggest predictors of college success. Therefore, for most colleges and universities, your GPA will be one of the top admission factors.

2. Get an early start on college research. Begin researching information for prospective colleges now.

3. Continue striving for improved standardized test scores. Your standardized test scores will determine what colleges you are eligible to attend, the scholarships you are eligible to apply for, and the amount of TOPS funding you are eligible to receive.

4. Enjoy being a junior. Although the future is important, you do not want to miss out on the many opportunities you will have this year.

5. It's ok when things don't go according to plan...one of the most important words to remember this school year--flexibility!
